Our baby bunny Teddy died today.

He bacame poorly last Monday, we took him straight to the vets and they diagnoised Myxi. We've already got another baby bunny (Priscilla) who also has had myxi but he had the nodular form and is making a slow recovery. They've both had the jab for myxi so are really unlucky to have caught it.

The vet put Teddy on Baytril and anti inflammatories and right up until late this afternoon we thought he was going to make it. He was eating and drinking until midday, then this afternoon lost all his colour and we took him to the emergency vet. But he rallied round at the vets and the vet said that there was still a chance he could pull through but sadly he died in our arms about 2 hours after we got back. It's such a shock only yesterday he still was well enough to run around, I can't believe he's gone.

God bless you Teddy Monster. x x x x

Thanks everyone for you messages.

We've buried Teddy in the garden tonight and have ordered a orange rose bush called "Remember Me" to plant in his spot.

Priscilla seems okay, my daughter has given her lots of attention today. We're worried that she will be cold outside on her own without Teddy to snuggle up with so are toying with the idea of putting her in the indoor cage in the conservatory each night. Eventually we will get another bunny to keep her company but we want to get some mosquito screen/netting for the hutch and runs first - has anyone any idea of a good place to buy this from?

Thanks again
