good egg in the morning & softee at 4pm AGAIN!????

Recommended Posts

hi, I think I roughly follow the egg development etc. but this is the 3rd time this girl has suddenly given a perfect egg in the morning then a soft one at 4pm. Can anyone explain the why to this please. She is not an ex bat about 1 to 1 and half I think.(rehomed her)

Is it too much of something? Had a lovely day gardening with me today in the sunshine but that's a bit too soon to show isn't it??

it's not so much a worry, though there is a chewing gum shell still attached for the last 2 half hours. it's just if it's cos I am doing something wrong I would like to NOT be. she is on the back of the sofa preening happily. figure the warm is better for the muscles. Her friend is safe & druy in the cat basket so sher won't be poohed on again tonight with liqid pooh like last night. It's kind of good that she is not an ex bat & it is happeniong to her.

thanks ANH the only one to offer advice on this one. If it HAD been the ex bats I would have thought it was due to that!

It could be that she is about to moult or the shirt days are beginning to catch up with her. As ANH says, As long as she seems fine in herself....i'm sure there is nothing to worry about.

One of my Pepperpots started laying odd shells and I used shellstim for a week or two. That sorted her out. I can't remember what it is called now, Davinona something??? Brain has gone to mush, sorry.
