Does anyone know what breed of chickens, battery hens are typically??

 

 

I'd love to have had the lovely red/ginger chicken..and would like to look out for it for my next ones !!

 

Are they the same as the gingernut ranger ?? which I cant get up here in the North..

I believe (correct me someone) that they are Bovans Goldline (which is the same or nearly the same as the Gingernut Ranger). I think there are some other hybrids that are the same cross but different names according to the breeder.

They tend to be warrens or Isa Browns. All much of a muchness with Gingernuts etc.
