Bantambabe
Oh what eggcitment in the garden this morning! We'd given up on eggs this year as our 3 bantam babes we got in August still hadn't performed. Don't know if the snow shocked her into it , but one of the lovely ladies has left us a wonderful surprise this morning Just need to work out how to unload images now. AnnieP
Congratulations! Hope you did the "egg dance" around the garden!
Bantambabe
Don't know about a dance, but I think most of the neighbours know about it, and I had to get the kids to calm down as they were in danger of scaring the chooks. Thought I was quite IT literate, but the photobucket getting the pictures the right size thing is getting the better of me. This is the proud lady: Unfortunately, not sure of name as we named them all when we first got them and they had very different tails, then they lost feathers, grew new ones etc and can't now tell them apart! Hoping to have a closer examination tomorrow as we clipped their wings differently to help with this process - thinking of getting some legs rings. Forge Cottage
Yay!! Congratulations - Your Sussex Bantam looks fine and proud too. We now have a total of 3 small eggs from Peggy, so there is a bottle of bubbly in the fridge, with croissants, smoked salmon and scrambled egg lined up for the morning... Bantambabe
Thanks for all your encouragement. Flo (for it is she who has been identified as the clever girl) produced another egg at lunchtime today. It was still warm - how magic is that? Having fried yesterdays egg and all had a dip in it, today's is being saved. I'm hoping to have enough by next weekend to make the Christmas cake. How proud to say it's made with our eggs
