Egluntyne
Don't worry.....they eat very little until they come into lay. The amount they have eaten since Monday sounds about right for two new girls. They have only had pellets up to now if they are Omlet girls and so have to "learn" about other types of food. They will soon get the hang of it.
cordelia
I agree... mine hated a porridge i made them, just stick to layers pellets and their grit (oyster shell added) and water, they will be fine... mine get tomatoes which they now love, if I can't let them out... but when I first got them, they thought anything other than pellets were alien... and if yours have eaten a 1/4 of their pellets...they are eating try not to worry
The Ives Clan
Ours were the same. Now they seem to never stop eating. Try them with some corn or better still grapes in the afternoon. You should see them go mad for both especially the grapes.
Diana1
well my two don't seem to be eating either or layng for that matter. They are not new. Speckeldy Rose is moulting. Angel had to join the angel's in heaven about two weeks ago. We have been on holiday and i can see sweetcorn and grain that has not be consumed. This never gets left. Going to de-mite them and hope for the best.
