PurpleTree
One of my chickens seems to have watery poo. The brown pooey part looks ok, but the urine part which I believe should be a white blob on the top, is more like water. Is this a sign of anything? It's been like this for over a week now. She seems fine otherwise, eating and drinking, scratching and pecking. She's not started laying yet, she's about 26 weeks, but she seems to have started crouching a bit today when I approached her. I'm sure I read somewhere that someone else had a similar problem and gave the chicken live yoghurt. Is this right? What sort of yoghurt is good? Thanks for any advice. sandyhas3chucks
there are lots of things to try, but one of mine wasn't ill, runny pooh for too long & nothing helped ,also underweight, took to vet got weeks of antibiotics. cleared up. I think it can be a sign of worms too. Also not eating enough, but somone with far better knowledge will be along soon. Make sure she doesn't get dehydrated if loosing lots in pooh. Hen Watch
In the past I have given my chooks Bokashi Bran to help with the squits, and live bio yoghurt for sour crop problems. Are there any worms in the squitty poop?
Egluntyne
Bokashi bran is marvellous for the squits. Probiotic yoghurt or Avipro will help too, as they add useful bacteria to the gut.

Egluntyne
Is any yoghurt ok, that says it's live or probiotic? Mine love any flavour. I often give them a dollop of home made plain probiotic though.
