madchickenlady
Well, I've just got off the phone from my local poultry farm, and I have a gold star ranger and a white star arriving tomorrow! I know have to go outside (with a chest infection, cough splutter) to sort out my coop and run. Hubby is going to kill me!!!! I just hope that they'll be friendly to my pekin ladies Name suggestions, please!

madchickenlady
They are coming at lunch time, so not long now! Yep, the white star should lay beautiful big white eggs. I just hope that the pekins take to the new comers I intend to keep them seperate for a good few weeks, as that worked well when I added to my pekin mini flock Very slow introductions mean no vicious pecking I will provide pics later

helenmb
I have a gold star ranger and a white star arriving tomorrow! Name suggestions, please! Just posted a reply and it disappeared? So it might show up twice! I names my two white(ish) girls Blanche and Pearl to represent their colour but other ones I considered were Stella (meaning star) and Bianca. For your golden girl Honey might fit. Having said that most of my girls have really old fashioned names as we think they suit hens really well. You will probably find as soon as you see them you will feel inspired with names as often I have an idea and as soon as I clap eyes on them I realise the name doesn't suit them. I think there is a name selection on the Wiki - will take a look and post a link if I find it. Hope their arrival makes you feel better and don't forget to post some piccies of them too.
