rabbitfluff
3 out of my 4 hybrids have been laying a month or 2 now but their eggs are all fairly tiddly - from about 50 to 57g normally. Will they get bigger as my girls age or will they stay this size? Not that I'm complaining of course, size isn't important, but... it would be nice to get a whopper once in a while. judith67
Mine have got slightly bigger over the first 2 months and now are steady. If they miss a day's laying I find the next day the egg is like a torpedo too!!!
Hen Watch
My Omlet hybrids started off with 50g eggs and now lay 75g eggs. I now have got used to 75g eggs and consider them normal but if you buy them in a supermarket they are classed as jumbo eggs. When I see medium eggs in a shop they look tiny..... Very large - over 74g Large - 63-73g Medium - 53-63g Small - under 53g
Mutrix Farmers
After about 4 months of laying our girls started consistently lay between 60g to 65g with the occassional larger one. Even with the shorter days we still get them this weight.
Ain't Nobody Here
Yes . And I believe as the hens get older the eggs keep getting bigger but come less frequently.
