How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

After a long time and a house move today we bought our chicken house! We're very excited.

 

Problem is we're finding it quite hard to find chickens in our area (south west scotland). We went to see a supplier yesterday and tbh although the owner was lovey and helpful we were shocked at the conditions the girls were in. I really honestly didn't expect to see large numbers of birds in a horribly dusty shed.

 

Am I just naiive?

 

If anyone could reccomend a supplier relatively close we'd be really grateful because at the moment it seems to be like finding a needle in a haystack! We need residents for our nice new house.

Omlet have a list of recommended breeders so you could ring them and ask if there is anyone in your area.

Try practical poultry, at the back they have a breeders section which I discovered after id trekked about aberdeenshire, east and west lothian gathering my girls.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your house move and new hen house .

 

I nearly got hens from this chap but didn't in the end as he was unwell when I needed them delivered. I haven't seen his setup so it may be the one you saw (he was very friendly and helpful) .

 

If you're prepared to travel, I got my girls from a farmer just south of Edinburgh. I know there are a few breeders round there and some in the Borders too. If you are happy to travel that far, let me know and I'll have a look for their details.
