That's a great name . I'd definitely have 8 cats or more like you do if OH didn't keep his foot down . You are so strong at the moment, an empty eglu oh how I would love one of those to fill . I bet you don't make it til spring before you fill it with new girlies .

wonder if wife would LOSE INTEREST after a week if she had kids..... imagine!!! I bet they live in a "disposable" world in that house... chuck away plates and cups etc, chickens must have been like winning a goldfish at the fair to them!!!! You are so right I already have my eyes on some bantams that need rehoming and have been looking for some cream legbars for a while!!

 

But whatever I get they will have a home for life not just for Christmas

 

I forgot to say well done to the person who rescued these hens and gave them another chance. Its great that there are good people out there

I wonder if they were the wives chickens or his? Perhaps she was scared of them (some people are a bit phobic of them) or allergic or whatever. Maybe he got them without discussing with her, later to find that she's terrified of them. I do find it hard to believe that anyone would lose interest after such a short time if they had wanted them in the first place, maybe am just naive. But it could be that he listed them badly, or when he was furious with OH....

They were well-kept and well-cared for, and rehomed responsibly. I'm not convinced that the people involved are as bad as suggested.
