Brilliant idea. That way there are no "My wife got bored after a week" attempts to get rid of hens.

 

I lent a friend an Eglu last summer and she got 2 chickens. The agreement was that if she didn't get on with them, I'd take them of her hands.

 

She did get on with them unfortunately and got an Eglu via Ebay in the end.

Sounds like a fantastic idea Bet he doesn't get many chooks back!

 

Egluntine, I like your idea too. My is currently on standby for 3 more ex-batts (probably spring), but I'd be happy for other people to borrow it after that. If anyone mentions "thinking of chickens...", I might borrow your idea. That way the eglu will get used and people can try the hennie thing without commitment, and I doubt many people would give them up once they've got them .

Ditto here Dancing Cloud, I have which I have offered to a friend to try b& convince his mum that chooks are indeed a good idea, would be happy to consider any other potential "borrowers" on the condition it's back for my ex-batts when they arrive.
