Leicester_H
Bertha my pepperpot has amazed me today. She is 3 1/2 years old and has laid brilliantly for the last 3 years. She stopped laying in October and had a massive moult. She has regrown her feathers and is looking really well, but I really didn't expect her to lay again, at least not until spring. But today she has started up again! Bless her - she is amazing! I think she can have an extra portion of corn tonight as a treat! I sat Boo down and had a serious chat with her. Told her about Bertha. Told her how much I loved her anyway but some eggs would be nice. Low and behold, on Sunday she produced the first egg for 2 months - YIPPEE !! Aren't they little stars !! Snowy
Ahh bless, that is good news! I'll tell Bertha that she is an inspiration! Rosie has also come back into lay today after her moult - they were shut out of the run to give the new girls a break so she laid it on the back door step Bad chicken Mummy
