Hendy
I've had about 12 eggs from my Pekin bantam and they are always exactly 37g except if she skips a day and then it's 40g on the nose. Is it usual that the same hen lays the same size egg all the time? I suppose it will help me tell them apart when my others start laying. Snowy
Some of mine lay eggs of a very regular size and, as yours do, have a day off then a slightly larger one, then back to normal. If ever I cannot tell who laid an egg by colour or shape, I can usually make a good guess based on weight! Even the hybrids will lay the same weight egg for a few months, then have a day off, then the size increases by a couple of grams and then they lay that size for a few months! Amazing aren't they! Ain't Nobody Here
My three have a margin of about 5 or 6 grams either way.
