Mrs Frugal
This is gorgeous. Refreshing, thirst quenching and so easy to make. Old Fashioned Orangeade Makes 3 litres 3 lemons 10 oranges 200g caster sugar 500ml water Bring the rinds of the 3 lemons to the boil in half a litre of water. Dissolve 200g caster sugar in this hot water and leave to cool. Strain and add the juices of the 10 oranges and 3 lemons and then add 2 litres of water. Chill until ready to use. Delicious! Don't waste the orange rinds. Remove them with a potato peeler and dry in an airing cupboard or in a low oven then use in pot pourri or add to a jar of caster sugar to make a lovely flavoured sugar for cake baking. Mrs Frugal
Oh dear Emma. Sounds very frustrating indeed! Hope they hurry up so you can enjoy the orangeade before summer's well and truly over - it'll be just as delicious over winter though and will probably keep all those colds at bay too !
