Laura007 Posted September 7, 2006 Author Share Posted September 7, 2006 i found a recipe for a yorkshire tart, but then had to make curds, oooeeeeeeerrr! when i manged to find out how to make curds i have had a go at making the curd tart, now known at our house as "dead fly pie" sorry but its got currants in it! it looks just like it did at bettys tea shop in york, but will it taste the same, will let you know later.................................................. A local farmer would bring up a whole churn of milk and she would be in the kitchen for hours. I saw Hugh Fearnley-thingummy do this on his programme and now know that grandma was using 'brisling' (not sure of the spelling) milk, which is the first milk from a calved cow.
