Sorry a very stupid question but where can I buy Aubiose from? Does it comes in bags and how heavy is it? Does anybody knows a shop around the Edinburgh area by any chance that does sell it?

There is some available now **here**. It works out fantastically expesnively that way.

 

£1.15 for a kg and a whopping £4.50 postage.

 

A 25kg bale will cost no more than £10 tops and if you can source one locally that would be a massive saving.

Well I renamed the topic as I have a few questions about Aubiose as I am a bit confused.

 

Firstly do you use in the house or the run?

 

If I use it in the run will it attrack rats in a run without slabs underneath it?

 

Why is it better to use than woodchips?

I use it itn both the Eglu and the run, which are on slabs, to prevent rats tunnelling in.

 

It is super absorbant, so if you use it in the run, you will need to cover it with a clear plastic shower curtain or similar, otherwise it will soak up every rain drop.

 

I prefer it as it is multi purpose, super absorbant, easy to store, econonical and composts much more readily than woodchips, shavings etc.
