toastedblue
anyone know what updates have been made on the Mk3 Cube ? or should I say to the Mk2 to make it a Mk3 ? any pictures would be a bonus thanks
bellekatz
There are Mark I and Mark II eglus - the mark two was slightly bigger and had a larger doorway and a bigger poop tray! There has only been 1 model of Cube as yet as it has only been available for a year or maybe a bit less/more. Hope this helps
toastedblue
I ask because of this thread... viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9706 it's a sticky so I assumed a mod had posted or stickied it
bellekatz
When it was first relelased it was sometimes known as a Mark 3 as it was the third model omlet had released ( mark I eglu, Mark II Eglu, Cube). There is only 1 model of cube.
Couperman
When it was first relelased it was sometimes known as a Mark 3 as it was the third model omlet had released ( mark I eglu, Mark II Eglu, Cube). There is only 1 model of cube. I don't think this is true. The one that we saw on show at Gardeners World Live in the summer was different to our first generation Cube. The main difference I spotted was the back panel had been redesigned to solve the 'leaking in heavy rain' issue. The catches on roof were also different so you could get a better grip when pulling the lid closed and of course it had the new plastic roosting bars. I don't know if that one was a mk 2 or mk 3 but it was definately an improved version to ours not that ours has been any bother, apart from the leaky thing. Kev. Egluntyne
Trouble is it hasn't been relaunched publicly in the way that the Mark 2 was introduced...as it is a modification rather than a redesign and I think this is where the confusion lies. If you look at the date on the first post of the thread to which you refer, toatedblue, you will notice that it was posted 18 months ago. The launch of the cube was ruined by a children's newspaper jumping the gun and publishing details ahead of Omlet's planned launch ...so we were all mighty miffed at the time to be the last to find out....and there was a lot of talk about it on the forum **here**. It is amusing to read it all again. :D

It is amusing to read it all again. :D Thats funny reading! its interesting to see what people thought and then look down to their signatures to see if they eventually bought one. One person said they would have to sell both of their Eglus to buy one but when you look at the signature you can see that they have two Eglus AND a cube now! Addicted much? Also there were some prolific posters there who don't post here anymore. Interesting! thanks for that Egluntine
Palmer06
When me and my sis went to visit omlet to pick up her eglu early november we were shown around and got to see the cube they had on site which they were using as a tester for new ideas! It was nice to go a see "omlet" in person!
