Ygerna
The first Elmcroft Egg, laid by Storm, today. She disappeared whilst we were out putting the extention onto the run. We saw her behind the raised bed at the bottom of the garden. Emily said 'I bet she is laying an egg'. A short while later, whilst tidying the tools away, I thought I would just check and she HAD been laying an egg. It was still warm when I picked it up. Janty
How are you going to eat it? I had a piece of gammon ready for our first egg for ages and in the end I had to eat it because my lot took so long to start laying.

I have a nice home boiled ham in the fridge maybe I should have it with that. Or, maybe boiled with dippy soldiers, or what about poached on an english muffin, Argghhh too many choices
Ain't Nobody Here
How lovely . We fried our first egg - it was so small, we all just had one bite each . Putting it in a frying pan means you can admire it in all its glory .
