brioche in the breadmaker

Recommended Posts

I used to buy brioche from Aldi, until I discovered it had battery egg in :(

Thought I'd give it a go in my BM and found this recipe

here are some of the ingredients translated into English measurements! :D It's just cooking now so will let you know how it turns out...I didn't add the salt as I used salted butter. I was going to add a splash of vanilla extract but we've run out

432g flour

100g butter

80ml milk

fingers x'd it turns out ok, the recipe has had excellent reviews so here's hoping! I love a bit of toasted brioche with home made jam

How very strange! I've been searching for a recipe for brioche today!

I found one where you just use the dough cycle and then finish the rest by hand.

It's made an enormous plaited loaf and I'm pleased to report that it tastes lovely!

I've been gorging on jammy brioche all afternoon! Naughty but very nice! :D

Can't wait to hear how yours turns out... sure it'll be delish!

well girls, the taste is utterly lush!

but... it rose to the lid of the BM and then flopped :? Not sure why as I followed the recipe. I might just do the dough in the BM next time and finish it in the oven. It was a bit of a nightmare to get out of the pan as the dough had cooked around the handle!

Can't complain about the taste though :D We've just had some, toasted, with the last of missuscluck's raspberry and apple jam, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D

I'm using the offcuts to make a bread and butter pudding tomorrow, waste not want not ;)

mmmm, just had a piece (untoasted) with jam and butter for breakfast, it's sooooooooooo nice :D

Will have to do it in the oven next time to avoid the droopy effect :?
