Hello

I don't know how I missed this thread !

OH and myself have had our dream for over 20 years (see signature) and decided that now was the time to make a move and make it happen. We have been growing vegetables since we moved into our house 25 years ago and now need more space to turn this into a paying hobby.

So.......two weeks ago we both handed in our notices !!

After 30 years service with our Local Authority I was feeling ready for a break and OH was also ready for a change.

We're planning to have a gap year and look for our ideal property with its large kitchen and more land. If the property prices keep falling, this year will be the best chance yet of finding our dream home within our price range.

Thanks also to whoever posted about 'All my eggs in one basket'. I bought a copy on Friday and have not been able to put it down. :D

Kind regards

Christine

Wow Christine, big steps  ! Very best of luck in your search, and keep us up to date...!

All I need is to win the lottery & buy the other two cottages in our row, then I'd have enough room for my current dreams (one of which is an Aga too!!)....methinks there's a small problem or two in this plan 1) we don't do the lottery :? 2) the neighbours are quite nice & even if we offered them silly money, I don't know that they'd like to move from our position

Still nice to window shop though!

like the song says "You got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna make a dream come true!"

Hi Everyone

Sound like us window shopping and wishing that the lottery comes up. Lucky at the moment if we win £10 a month :!::!:

Best regards
