OH went out today and either Ginger or Phoebe laid an egg!

 

they've been messing us around for months with their 'will I won't I moult' games and we were beginning to think we'd be buying eggs for ever more

 

just want the blue eglu girls to stop faffing around now they've been doing the moult thing since last summer

indeed we did, dancing cloud!

 

thing is, we can never remember how old they all are and they've been laying only when they feel like it since the middle of last summer so OH is convinced they'd never lay again

 

seeing that egg was sooooooooooooo eggciting

My Dandelion laid every day like a good thing for the first couple of months and then nothing at all for the next five months or so. I was convinced she'd taken me up on the offer of early retirement and there would never be an egg again until a fortnight ago when she suddenly produced an egg, followed by seven more since

 

The egg dance has definitely been danced!
