Started from KateA's post about her unidentified tree...


Damson gin:

1/3 bottle damsons, sliced

1/3 bottle gin

1/3 bottle sherry

50 g of sugar






Damson jam:

1 1/2 lb damsons

3lb sugar

1 pint water.


Boil damsons in water for approx 1/2 hour. Skim off/pick out/sieve stones out.


Add sugar and bring to boil. (about 105 degrees)

boil for 10 mins or until jam turns...

pour out into warm sterilised jars.
