SillyClucker
Our hens are coming up to a week with us and have not been allowed out of their run. we have a plum tree which has dropped alot of fruit - would be ok to let the hens free range with all this fruit lying around? Martin B
I don't think they should eat too many. A few SHOULD be ok, but check that they are not poisonous to hens!
Gallina
I would say no. If they are greedy, they will get severe diahorrea. I give my hens about two plums a day each from our tree and this is enough to give them the runs. I would eat the good plums yourself and just give them the ones that have a hole in. Chickens are not like us and regard a worm as an added bonus.
