Waiting for our cube and chickens to come on the 19th February and WAS looking forward to giving my 2 year old daughter fresh eggs as she loves them on toast.

 

Just been told my daughter is allergic to egg white!

 

My son won't touch eggs in their 'looking like an egg' state so guess me and hubby will be eating eggs and my daughter will enjoy the yolks!

I am intollerant to egg white, but only slightly, if I get it on my skin I itch you can bet her yolks will be the best yolks

hopefully the rest of you will still be able to enjoy them in cakes, pancakes, mayonnaise, coleslaw, lemon curd, egg custard, custard, biscuits and the numerous other things you can maken with your new girls' eggs

 

you never know, she might even grow out of her allergy eventually too, hopefully.

 

start growing some fruit and use the chicken poo on your fruit bushes/trees

My YS was allergic to eggs, initially had quite severe reactions - blotchy, rash and swelling of face, started to introduce it to him gradually as advised by hospital and he now has no effects whatsoever, so there's still hope!

My little boy (7) won't touch eggs that look like eggs either, but we tried him with 'eggy bread' which I think is also known as either french toast or gypsy toast - can't remember which - and he loves it.

Adam, my son was also allergic to eggs as well as a lot of other foods. Luckily, he has now grown out of them.

It's just added to my daughters list of food allergy/intolerance - she is also allergic to dairy and cannot tolerate tomatoes.

 

Eggy bread is a good idea - used to make this all the time but havent for ages.
