It is my OH's birthday on Saturday and I would like to make some florentines for him and wondered if any of you have a good tried and tested recipes for them?

I made some of these for christmas pressies (well, not Delias, but florentines). All I can say is make sure you use parchment or greaseproof paper as they stick like anything Lets just say my first tray went into the sink for a loooong soak

You do need to leave plenty of room for them to spread though One tray of mine ended up as a rectangular florentine about 7 inches by 11 I saved them by moving them back into circle shapes with an oiled knife while they were still hot and runny

you could always use bun tins / jam tart tins
