How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Dear all,

Am in the process of building a run (held up by the weather) but I dream of chicken ownership.

Chopping up a pumpkin (we had a good crop last year) I wondered - can you feed pumpkin seeds/peelings to chickens? Would they prefer it cooked?

I wouldn't fancy eating raw pumpkin myself.....

They won't eat the peel but they love pumpkin -or at least mine do. I sometimes cut a bit off a butternut squash -as in to give the access to the flesh and they hollow it out just leaving the skin Whenever we went away and left them in the run I would get one as it is a good enrichment activity for them.

I put the old pumpkins in after halloween and they love the flesh - doesn't take long to decimate it! seeds I don't know and don't imagine they will go for the skin but it's worth a try!

I gave mine some cooked peelings and seeds and they were not interested.

Mine have had a mini pumpkin which I cooked and it all went!

i gave mine roasted pumpkin seeds and roasted butternut squaash seeds..and they loved them, as did the whole family (human) though .....
