Old Speckled Hen
I've just upgraded my phone and it was delivered by UPS this morning. Brilliant service, phoned Orange only yesterday afternoon. Driver had to phone for directions from so I met him at the end of the drive. He had a huge empty van so I said, "Blimey, you must have been up at the crack of dawn to deliver all this lot!" He told me he had come 50 miles in an empty van as all the smaller ones had been taken. I would happily have waited till they had a van full. What a waste!!! Redwing
I can totally believe that, in fact I would be surprised if they sent a small van My husbands XBox has broken (disaster, you would think the world had imploded!) and UPS were coming to fetch it, on the day we saw a UPS van outside our house in the snow and went out to give them the parcel, the driver said he wasn't there to collect ours but he took our parcel after a telephone call to his depot to check it was ok at 7pm the 'original' driver turned up very wet and sorry that he had had to walk to get to us etc.... the poor bloke looked so soaked that I felt awful breaking the news that the other driver had taken the parcel I can't believe that they didnt arrange collections in the same area on the same van in the first place but that they also didnt tell the other chap not to come It all doesn't make them look very efficient does it?
