munchkin
Hi I'm not 100% sure, but I think if tails are bent low (not sticking up in the air) this could mean that she feels poorly. When one of mine is going to lay a soft egg her tail will hang low and she will look hunched (soft eggs can make them feel poorly). Once she has laid the soft egg after 20mins she will be fine again. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will be along soon.

cluckbok
Hi ya, To me she looks fine, our girl Rosie's tail always curves over quite a bit, they can move them around just like a dog really. A low tail as said above can mean they feeling poorly or sometimes they do it if they don't like the weather like rain or wind. Have a look at our photos. Rosie's the little red hen (gingernut ranger).
cluckbok
Don't think they working at mo, site is down for maintenance on that part so it says. If you look under the courses section we are on there Michelle & Graham's hen courses, there's a really good example of Rosie on there with her bent over tail. mostin
Her spine does look as if it's bent doesn't it? Did these girls come from omlet? If they did I think perhaps you should email the photos of that girl to omlet and ask their advice. Edited to say: Read cluckbok's post after I had written this, perhaps bent tails are more common than I thought.
selbyathome
Our girls did not come from Omlet. They looked and acted fine on collection only the day after on their first stroll out did we notice bent tail. Thought at first she might have been roosting up against side of Egloo. However its still bent. She has laid twice since we got them, days apart both times small but good eggs. The other hen is a lot bigger, laid in the back seat of the car on way home (in the carry box) and has laid every day since, beginers luck no doubt . jen and stu Henrietta Eggsmerelda in
