fabulous!!!! can I ask (I have always wondered) does the ladder not reach the ground? is it far from the ground?

 

 

no it doesn't reach the ground, I dont know why they designed it like this, butWhen be laid the hard standing area for the cube we made it a different height to the walk in run to compensate on this gap from floor to ladder and now my ladder is MUCH closer to the ground, thank goodness.

I was surprised how far the ladder was off the ground too. Little hens would need to do a big jump, hence I put the stump there, for my Silkies especially. Maybe someone from Omlet could explain their reasoning. There is probably a very logical explanation.

 

Thank you for appreciating the photos everyone. I am really pleased with the Cube overall. All the girls can snuggle up together at night and I think it will be much easier to clean.

 

That said, I spent most of yesterday scrubbing both of my eglus from top to tail. I will defifnitely sell the one without the run and keep the other for introductions and renting out.

I aree there probably is a really good reason why the ladder is off the ground, I just cant think what it is
