Hello

My girls have organic layers at the moment, unfortunately the price keeps going up, nearly £15 a sack. I am wondering if there is an alternative layer out there that is of good quality (dont want my girls having rubbish) what does everyone use? I feed them non organic s"Ooops, word censored!"s etc so its the quality of feed im concerned about.

I feed Marriages as I can get it locally and it seems to have a good reputation but the girls liked the Smallholder brand best

I feed mine Dodson & Horrals GM free layers mash and cost me last week £7.40 for standard 20kg sack.Mine never really liked the Omlet organic stuff,but go absolutely nuts for this.

I use Smallholders now, they seem to like it better than the cheaper 'own brand' stuff I got from a local feed manufacturer.

Smallholders here - layers, chick crumb, growers & mixed corn - all natural & non-GM.

i use feed so fancy layers pellets as they are quite cheap and the girlies love them but i do buy organic range mixed corn but thats me wanting my girls to get the best even though it might cost me most of my egg money

Thanks guys, I really want them to have good stuff. We have a really good supplier, but they are very agricultural and look at me like "oh no its one of those city dwellers trying to be a country lass!!!"
