i have my appleyard duck in with my 3 hens and it will be the first time i have wormed them with flubenvet so i wondered if it is safe to put it in their that they all eat

It doesn't list 'Ducks' on the tub of Flubenvet - but the Katie Thear book 'Starting with Ducks' says to "watch out for signs of internal worms. If necessary give a vermifuge in the feed"

 

We've not given Flubenvet to the ducks - we just look out for any problems.....and so far, we haven't had any.

 

You could check on the Practical Poultry forum to see what they say over there?

 

Edit: I've just found a bit more in the Katie Thear book (the index in this particular book isn't very helpful ) and she says to use Flubenvet.

I never worm my ducks and they free range..unless they lose weight etc never had a problem just keep housing and water clean..mine are out with wild ducks too
