I know I am not the most patient of people (understatement) but I wondered in your experience do gingernut rangers take a long time to lay?

 

I have had my three girls for a month now and the pepperpot is laying but the other two aren't and not really any major signs but they do crouch a little bit.

 

Wondered if it was a breed thing?

It just depends on their age I guess. My was the first to lay, the day after she arrived

Like Christian says its probably an age thing, the Gingernuts were probably from a flock that were younger than the Pepperpot

 

It won't be long, at least you have some eggs now

My lay first, then my then the other . Ruby was much younger than the other 2 and her comb and wattles were much smaller and pinker than the other girls.
