debbie26pet
my aunty who lives in turkey, is over visiting with a look at staying here she was telling us all about the animal life over there esp chickens, i got her to look at ours, and she turned round and said oh what very very spoilt chickens you are over feeding them our chickens are 2-3 times bigger in size etc, it turns out there they just wonder the streets, eat s"Ooops, word censored!"s etc what ever they can find. and when the people there want chicken for tea..... well they just go out in the street pick and one and prepare it at night they live in trees, she can open her curtains and see chickens perching in the trees for night time, up in a old oak tree it is and quiet high up, any hens that had babies they would be carried up the tree by mum on her back. i couldnt believe it, but wainting for pics to see so we all have very very spoilt chickens

fluffyknickers
I like spoiling mine - tonight they had bokashi and yoghurt. Husband unpacked the shopping and later when I got the yoghurt out he said "I cant eat anything else", I said "its for the chickens" he just pulled a face . x
alih
My husband often comes into the kitchen in the evening asking where the leftovers are and is dismayed when I tell him the chickens have scoffed the lot
3hens2cats
Hi there, shows peoples differening approaches to animals really. As far as sitting in trees, well one of ours roosts in the lower branches of our beech tree, she is the same colour and her camo is soo good you have to really focus in to notice her. Until then I had NEVER seen a chicken in a tree Naomi
mostin
I would love to see them carrying their babies up into the trees for the night , I just can't imagine my clumsy girls doing that . I'm sure she's right, and our girls are very spoilt, but why shouldn't they be .
dancing cloud
My six little monsters are definitely very, very spoilt, but then they are ex-batts, so I consider it my duty to make up now for all the love and attention they were deprived of before (the fact that I'm just a big softie when to comes to my pets has nothing at all to do with it )
