Went over to Ben at Teston, Kent at the weekend to get some feed and a bumper big drinker.

 

It was so lovely to see his garden in springtime. It's massive - really long, and stuffed full of chickens. They all run about all over the shop and he's got two might Buff Orps - my favourite. I LOVE going to visit Ben. Him and his son Jordan are great - major chicken buffs, totally helpful and so many chickens, it's as good as a zoo!

 

I tried to tell the OH we only had enough cash for either feed or a drinker in the hopes that we would have an excuse to go back and visit again in a few weeks but he didn't believe me.

 

As per usual there was a woman in the garden going 'I only came here for two and now I'm buying [insert stupidly larger than two number here].'

No, so I told her all about Omlet and the forum and she seemed quite keen on the idea of joining. You never know if people are just being polite though, so we shall see!

We got our chickens from Ben at Hen House Poultry two weeks ago and as first time chicken keepers, he really could not have been more helpful.

The kids loved visiting not only did we manage to bring home two chickens which was so exciting ,but Ben showed them his chicks too and with a hold was as exciting as visiting any zoo you would pay good money to visit !!

My 6 lovelies came from Ben last year. He is really great, my new ones would have come from him too, but alas he doesn't keep what we wanted

My friend bought her Amber Star and Skyline from him too and they are gorgeous girls. She keeps trying to persuade me to get some more. I will definitely get some from him when the time comes.
