vetty82
My 6 hens have decided it would be a great idea to perch on the top og the glug and with their muddy feet in the rain smear mud all over the glug. Whats the best way of giving it a good clean? Dishwasher? Soapy water? Not really sure whats best? TIA Vetty
Falkor
Dishwasher work a dream but it does take up a fair bit of space so I bung ALL the feeders in the dishwasher about once a month. They get a dunk and scrub in hot water an ecover once a week
Redwing
I use a tiny drop of washing up liquid in a bucket of water and leave mine to soak then give it a scrub with a washing up brush (not the same one we use in the house!) I did see that someone on the forum used a thin flap of plastic attached to the run with cable ties that slanted down over the top of the superglug so the chickens couldn't perch on it and to keep the water clean, it was a very clever idea
Jules.
you mean this???? !!!!! why not use Cinnamon's patented super glug protector?
