Hi,

After having our three POL hybrids for about 3 weeks we have had a text to say we have our 1st egg! Layed this morning, Easter Sunday of all days. Brilliant! However we are 120 miles away :| I want to jump in the car right now and drive home so I can check tomorrow morning! LOL

It's a brown egg aparently, we have a Ginger ranger, bluebell and a speckeldy. Who do u think laid it? My money is in the Ginger!

Thanks

Phil n Kate

Congratulations! I bet it was the speckledy. Our GNR , Ginger, laid her first egg on Saturday and laid another one this morning. The problem is, she was wormed (non- herbal) and on antibiotics- precautionary as she looked at deaths door Sat morning, but after trip to vet, who wanted to put her down (he'd obviously never even seen a chicken before!) and some medication she went straight in and laid the egg which we can't now eat!!!!!!!!! She seems perfectly well now, quite a mystery, I think she'd caught a chill as we had to leave the Eglu door open that night. It wasn't freezing cold and the nice man from omlet said it would be ok, and it's quite rare for chickens to catch a chill though they can.

We wonder when Pepper, our PP , will lay her first !eggbrown! . She is a lot heavier and greedier than Ginger( Pepper is the dominant chicken) and she seems to be more interested in eating!

Love FoxFighters x x x
