4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

3 of my 4 chicks have noticeable combs developing and they are fighting among each other far far more then my silkys and sussex ever did.

 

Is it likely that these are boys as the combs are coming in so quickly and they are fighting so much? The comb less one is by far the most easy going (#2).

I am keen for opinions purely as I have the option to place 2 of them tomorrow night (to a home who doesn't mind if they are male or female) and if there is a female I would prefer to keep her instead of needing to place chicken swap later on!!

Are you sure chick2 is an Orp?......funny wee thing with some tufts and a broad beak it's better to see the whole chick side on.....then we can look at the comb, the stance and the legs.

Chick 2 looks like the other orps as far as i've noticed.

 

The pics aren't great as they are on my mobile, I will try and take more.

 

Chick 1 I am willing to put money on being male, and chick 4 purely as they stand male, and have a lot of attittude

I'm not very good at this but for what its worth I am not sure about 1,2,4 but I do think 3 looks like a boy

Just checked back how old they are....nearly 3 weeks.....I think chick 1 is a girl and chick 3 a boy, chick 4 possibly a boy and no idea about chick 2

In the incubator I had orpington eggs (supposed to be black/blue but hatched a splash and a black), araucana, silkies and marans.

 

The dorking (or dorking x) chick was a potluck/surprise, so its possible chick 2 is too, but I thought s/he was an orpington like the other 2!!

Lucky you.....a Splash Orp. Take them out one at a time, sit them on your hand and take a pic......or stand them on a towel one by one. They usually freeze for a second and you can get a pic.

I have tried taking them out, they all hollar up a storm and try to leap to the floor. David Bellamy with chickens I am not!!!

 

I will try again tomorrow with my proper camera (batteries allowing) before I decide who goes, but right now I am thinking Chick #1 (cause it has a vendetta against me LOL) and Chick #4

Oh yes, I'm getting mixed up now, that's the one with the biggest comb. I'd keep chick 1....or hold on to them all a bit longer in case you make a decision you regret.
