4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

for the silkies in the incubator. I have a guestimated hatch of up to 8 in the incubator, and 3 eggs under my silky in the eglu that I don't think are fertile, but we'll see.

 

I hate when we get to day 18.. so close, but yet so far!!

 

Will post hatchdates on here as they occur

 

 

Late on day 20, and we have a pipper. So far, thats it. I'm off to bed, and will update in the morning

Now at 4 chicks (3 black and a white silky) and 2 pippers. Still watching and waiting!! No pics til they move to the brooder i'm afraid

What incubator are you using?

Corti 25 semi automatic (I got the added on turner too)

 

Can't fault it for incubating, but for hatching its pants as it all mists up and you can't see the chicks/pippers very well at all

That's the one I've got and I hate it. Who on earth decided the lid would be better in blue rather than see-thru? I got it last Christmas. I'm hoping Father Christmas will come back this year and exchange it for a bigger one

Yea i dislike it purely for the visability. Have my eye on a SeeCube, but far too expensive sadly
