Hello everyone! My question is about one of my girls- Trouble. She has pretty consistant loose poo. She has always been a loose pooer, since she was in the brooder (they are now around 12 wks old). She had the loose poo even before being exposed to the great outdoors, so I don't believe it could be worms. I laugh because if you're out with them long enough, you'll hear Trouble go to the bathroom Should I be worried? She's eating and drinking plenty, loves to free-range, is the same size/color as the rest of the flock, doesn't look at all out of sorts. We don't have many chicken docs around, so a quick trip to the vet is not really an option. Thought I'd check to see what the experts had to say!

I don't have experience of such young chicks but wondered if you give them bokashi bran? (Assuming it's OK for youngsters .)

 

Having said that, one of mine is splatting everywhere at the moment and she does get bokashi .

One of mine does big splatty cow pats I upped the Bokashi and it seems to be improving matters

Ours are splatting lately, but they still do the huge dollops too. I think they are drinking much more than usual in the warm weather so things are much looser - sorry about that graphic bit . Mine get bokashi too.

Good point about the water and weather. I've noticed Trouble at the super glug a lot. That must be it...

Just realised where you are HC! Lovely! I bet you are getting a few thunderstorms now and again - hot, hot, hot. At least you get warm rain at this time of year!
