pinkmagic
My chickens constantly peck away at the window frame on my back door. They have done this to the extent that in one part all the paint has come away. Does anyone know why they could be doing this? could their diet be deficient in something? Ain't Nobody Here
I've heard of chickens pecking at the seals on doorframes before . Perhaps you should spray anti-peck spray on your doors ?
kitchens
My chooks have had a go at our summerhouse windows. Its quite old so the window frames are a bit crumbly! I did paint them but it hasn't stopped them. I suppose once they get one bit come away - its like picking wallpaper for humans - they can't stop themselves
Patricia W
If they are wood and old, maybe they can see insects we can't?
splodge88
Ours peck our door which is not wood and is not old. They like getting the little bits of dirt & the water droplets off. Sometimes I think they just do it for attentions though *Peck Peck* "It's snack time!!"
