binka Posted May 8, 2009 Share Posted May 8, 2009 Yes! I staretd off about 5 years ago with 3 bantams. I've now moved onto LF chickens and hatch out chicks from fertile eggs (don't have a cockeral 'cos of neighbours). Then we grow them on and sell them. Currently have 6 LF, 5 growers and 12 eggs under a broody. Though 4 of the 5 growers are boys so we will have to kill them. I'll end up keeping the other grower as I would like a Maran. When we get chicks in the next few weeks I will defintely have to sell most of them or I'll be running out of room! Have just added up - if all thse 12 hatch out that'll be 23 chickens. I'm already planning on having some ex batts and really fancy the idea of a couple of chicks..... Either I'm addicted, or completely bonkers.........
