Phosphorus
Assuming any of my hatch on Friday or over next weekend Do I need anything to feed them other than chick crumb (know about suggestions of chopped up egg or spring onion to encourage them to eat). Do I need chick flint - not sure at which point they will need to take grit? They will have access to a bit of grass in run when mum takes them out. Griffin
Mine get offered chick grit from the time they have growers pellets available. Up until that point I don't feed them anything at all other than chick crumb.
Egluntyne
Mine had a tiny bit of chick grit sprinkled onto their food from week two. I got it via Ebay and paid a couple of quid plus P&P.
Phosphorus
Thanks for that. I had been watching the stuff on Ebay so will get some in a few weeks if any hatch
Valkyrie
I've put a little bit in with mine - they are outside on the grass and chomping clover and other assorted goodies that mum digs up for them. She makes them have a little and they do as they are told. Wish I was her! It is likely that they would pick up some grit from the soil anyway.
