Charlottechicken
Is anyone else concerned that by September next year we will only be able to buy eco lightbulbs? My incubator and brooder both take standard off-the-shelf lightbulbs and I am rather anxious that I will not be able to replace them with something which gives off enough heat to hatch an egg, or keep a chick warm. Should I start stocking up on lightbulbs now, enough to keep my incubator/brooder combi going for the next 30 years
Lewis
I knew they were starting to phase them out, but they can't get rid of them comletely, surely? I'll be buying a few just in case Reptiles use them to heat up their enclosures aswell. Theatres use filament lightbulbs and cannot use energy saving bulbs so they won't be able to get rid of them completely, some use LED's but they aren't as bright. Redwing
You'll be lucky to find enough, my inccy has got through two in 24 hrs! Seriously there is bound to be some development in this field - think of all those who keep reptiles
