smanners
Six chicks had hatched under our broody ( Rocky) by the time I went to bed last night On inspection this morning we had another 5 chicks What a result! 11 chicks from 11 eggs ! I have moved them from the Eglu mainly because Rocky had a large poo in the nest box and also because it seemed rather cramped. I was worried about the height of the drop from the nest box to the floor when the chicks got out to drink. Has anyone else had experience of rearing baby chicks in an Eglu? Apart from cooing over the marvels of nature, now I have to rethink the housing situation Will post pics later
