Amy83
Hiya, one of my hennies is feeling under the weather She's very lethargic, just seems to stand in one place a lot of the time, she's got a very messy bum and her poo is like a yellow sulphur colour. She's dissinterested in food but is eating! Any guesses? or anything i can do to perk her up?
ClaireG
You could try some pre and/or probiotic yogurt mixed in with her food. Avipro is also very good. Chickens are very good at hiding how poorly they really are. If it were me i'd be popping to the vets with her.
Ain't Nobody Here
Have you wormed her recently?
Budgies
viewtopic.php?f=41&t=29183 Above I've put a link to a thread about bright yellow poo. I think a vet visit is a good idea.
Amy83
Well, i've started to worm them, 1st medicated feed was yesterday morning... just been out to say hi and give them their second medicated feed... and pleased to say she's looking brighter already! Still not back to her usual self but is moving around more and eating more! I also gave her a bit of flubenvet on a grape because i'm worried with her lack of appitite the others may eat her share! Can you overdose them on flubenvet?? i'm weighing feed and giving the prescribed amount but just curious!
Ain't Nobody Here
Can you overdose them on flubenvet?? i'm weighing feed and giving the prescribed amount but just curious! Don't think you can (unless they ate a whole pot ). If they have gapeworm, I think you give them a double dose so I think a bit extra would do no harm .
