We had a big fly problem for 2 years (live 1 mile from battery chicken farm) Bought a killer like this and they don't work. Spoke to environmental health chap who said that the type of flies that we get are not attracted to light so these sort of killers are pretty pointless. You kill very odd one but my children ended up posting flies that they caught themselves into the light as it was fun to hear them sizzle! Alis girls Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 We stayed on a farm some yrs back and the woman had a catering light thing in the kitchen. OH got 2 recently and they are useless.
