Tulip
Yep, Chilli the Lt Sussex has decided that Chive needs some company in the nest box. Apparently "keeping company" entails nicking the poor girl's eggs! What to do? I bought and built a little wooden animal house (made for guinea pigs) for chive and the babies to go into when they hatch. I'm now thinking we need to move her *now* (she has about 9 days to go) and divide the WIR. I'm not really happy about them sharing the fertile eggs and would rather just let Chilli sit on her own. Any thoughts, guys? I'll tell you one thing - Cinnamon is far from happy at having no-one to play with!!
Lewis
You're right about separating her. You could do it tonight if its ready, if you do, do it when its starting to get dark. If you do, then hopefully Chilli will snap out of the broodyness because you've caught it so early
