We are all very excited about our chicks hatching, fingers crossed. I put some eggs under our broody pekin, 21 days were up last saturday, but nothing has happened. We got the eggs from somewhere else and there's definitley something in three of them as I can feel them pecking and wriggling around when I touch the eggs. How long after I put them under the broody should they reach temperature?

I read this morning of eggs under a broody hatching on day 28 so if you can feel movement they should arrive soon!

Are they 2 days or 9 days over due? 2 days isn't that much as the weather has been quite cold which could have slowed the hatch down.

If its 9 you might have an emu in there!

 

I'd give them a few more days, its good if you can hear tapping inside them
