I suppose it depends on how much you notice the poo. Birds tend to poo a lot, full stop and chickens aren't exactly small birds. We tend not to take much notice of the poo. We have separate shoes for the back garden and we don't have a patio so we let the chickens go where they please.

Are you adding garlic and bokashi? It can make it a bit more manageable

My 3 girlies always do humungous poops when I let them out first thing! They look like small mountains!

I feel your pain! I can be seen, three times a day, using a dust pan and brush on my lawn The neighbours think I'm crackers, but I have to keep the poo down to stop the flies, and I love seeing my girls free ranging. No one walks bare foot across the lawn any more, though!
