i can't believe how much food my girls are getting through i've had them 3 weeks this friday, the first couple of weeks i filled the grub up and it didn't need re-filling for a couple of days, this week they've gone mad and are eating the lot in a day! it's mash so some of it gets thrown on the floor but they eat that too. are they sposed to eat so much in a day? they're getting a little treat in the evening and some cabbage or cucumber in their treat ball every now and then too. i thought the food would last about a month but i'm going to have to go and buy some this week because it's going down fast

Are they laying yet? They tend to eat loads more once they start laying .

no not yet they've all started crouching over the last couple of days and skyes wattles are a lot bigger and quite red today, her comb is bigger but pink. the others still have small pink wattles and combs.

I give mine about 130g each a day (even though they do tend to chuck about a quarter of it on the floor and leave it) Have you weighted how much mash you are giving them? Also as a side note, I found that cabbage gave mine the trots but yours might be OK with it? There's a lovely list on the forum somewhere with all treats you can give them, even marmite!
